Summer doesn't have to mean a break from growth. At Help Anchor Academy, our summer programs are designed to keep students engaged, building skills, and having fun — all while avoiding the dreaded "summer slide" that can make the return to school feel harder than it needs to be.
This summer, our enrichment offerings focus on four key areas: Character & Leadership, Reading, Executive Function, and College & Career Prep.
Our Character & Leadership track helps students build confidence, communication skills, and a sense of responsibility — qualities that carry over into every part of life, not just the classroom. Through group activities and real-world scenarios, students practice problem-solving and teamwork in a supportive environment.
For students who want to keep their reading skills sharp, our Reading program offers age-appropriate books, discussion-based learning, and activities that make reading feel less like a chore and more like an adventure. It's a great way to build vocabulary, comprehension, and a genuine love of books.
Our Executive Function sessions are especially valuable for students who struggle with organization, time management, or staying on task. These sessions give students practical tools they can carry with them into the new school year — things like planning systems, study strategies, and habit-building techniques.
Finally, our College & Career Prep track is great for older students who want a head start on planning their future. From exploring career interests to learning about the college application process, this program helps students feel less overwhelmed and more in control of their next steps.
For the first time, these programs are open to everyone in our community — not just current HAA students. Whether your child needs a little extra support or just wants to stay sharp over the break, there's something here for every student!
